Terms of Sale

1. Parties

These terms apply to purchases of books and publications from:

The agreement is between Sic Publishing AS (the seller) and the individual who places the order (the customer).


2. Payment and Prices

All prices are stated in the relevant currency at checkout.

For orders delivered in Norway, prices include Norwegian VAT where applicable.

For orders delivered outside Norway, prices do not include local import VAT, customs clearance charges, carrier handling fees, or other local charges unless this is clearly stated at checkout.

Payment is processed securely at the time of order via Stripe. Available payment methods may include Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and other options provided at checkout.

We do not store payment card details.

For pre-orders, payment is normally charged at the time of ordering unless otherwise specified.


3. Customs, Import VAT and Local Charges

Physical books are shipped from Norway.

For orders delivered outside Norway, the customer may be required to pay local import VAT, customs clearance charges, carrier handling fees, or similar charges when the shipment arrives in the destination country.

These charges are set by the destination country’s customs authorities and/or the delivery carrier. They are not collected by Sic Publishing AS unless this is clearly stated at checkout.

Books are often exempt from customs duty in many countries, but import VAT and carrier handling fees may still apply depending on local rules.

The customer is responsible for any such local charges unless otherwise clearly stated at checkout.


4. Delivery

Physical books are shipped from Norway to the address provided at checkout.

Typical delivery times are:

  • Norway: 5–7 working days after dispatch
  • Europe: 5–10 working days
  • International: 7–14 working days

Delivery times may vary depending on local postal services, customs processing, and conditions outside our control.

For pre-orders, items will be shipped as soon as they become available.

Customers are responsible for providing accurate shipping information.


5. Right of Withdrawal

Consumers in Norway and the EU have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal.

The withdrawal period begins on the day the goods are received.

To exercise this right, the customer must notify Sic Publishing AS in writing within 14 days.

Returned items must be in substantially the same condition as received. The customer is responsible for return shipping costs.


6. Returns and Refunds

If you wish to return a purchase within the withdrawal period, you may do so at your own expense.

Once the returned item is received and approved, the purchase price will be refunded within 14 days.

Shipping costs, return shipping costs, customs clearance charges, import VAT, carrier handling fees, and other local charges are not normally refunded unless required by law or agreed separately.


7. Complaints and Defects

If a product is defective or damaged, please contact us as soon as possible.

Customers have the right to request repair, replacement, or refund in accordance with the Norwegian Consumer Purchases Act.

8. Dispute Resolution

These terms are governed by Norwegian law.

If a dispute cannot be resolved directly, consumers may contact the Norwegian Consumer Council (Forbrukerrådet).

The ordinary venue is Lillehammer District Court, unless otherwise required by mandatory consumer protection law.
