Complementing this achievement are three pamphlet collections, including &#8220;Hauling-Out&#8221; (Eyewear, 2016) and &#8220;Stitch&#8221; (Tapsalteerie, 2018), with the latest pamphlet, &#8220;The Nakedness of the Fathers,&#8221; published by Broken Sleep in 2022. Samuel&#8217;s poetry has found its way into numerous prestigious journals and newspapers, such as And Other Poems, Blackbox Manifold, The Herald, and Poetry Wales, establishing him as a notable presence in the literary world. Not only has he contributed significantly as the poetry editor at the Glasgow Review of Books for six years, but he has also co-edited New Writing Scotland for three issues. Currently, Samuel serves as the editor for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.redsquirrelpress.com\/postbox-magazine\">Postbox: Scotland\u2019s International Short Story Magazine<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to his literary pursuits, Samuel Tongue has taken on key roles in judging awards, including The Edwin Morgan Poetry Award, The William Soutar Prize, The Wigtown Poetry Competition, and the Scottish Book Trust New Writers Awards. As the recipient of the inaugural Callan Gordon Award in 2013, part of the Scottish Book Trust New Writers Awards, Samuel has shown a commitment to nurturing emerging talent in the literary sphere. Engaging in various collaborative projects and residencies, such as the Jerwood Residency at Cove Park, reflects his dedication to exploring interdisciplinary creativity. Samuel currently holds the position of Project Coordinator at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scottishpoetrylibrary.org.uk\/\">Scottish Poetry Library<\/a>. Actively participating in major literary events, including chairing panels and leading workshops at the Edinburgh International Book Festival and Push the Boat Out Poetry Festival, Samuel Tongue remains a prominent figure in the cultural and literary scene.
